Fantastic coda to episode #7.17, I could totally picture this happening. All the protagonists are really in character, especially Dean. Plus, Saeng chose a very original format to narrate the story, through the correspondence of texts and one call.

Summary: 1921: Dean Winchester and Castiel Milton are two WWI veterans meeting by chance at a hospital. Dean, works for an alcohol smuggler for whom he does small/dirty business. After Castiel helps Dean with his current assignment, he ends up working alongside him for good. Neither of them is completely fine with it but when the only thing you’re trained to do is kill people, there’s not much of a choice.

Wonderful story and characterization, I can assure you’ll be swiftly sucked into this au post-war world. I’m really glad that, although what life has thrown at them, these Dean and Cas have still found each other.

This was such a great read, I found myself engulfed in this AU world so very quickly! I loved how Sullymygoodname took the time to let us see a glimpse of the relationship between Dean and Cas before Sam arrived in town and then how she tackled all the sensitive issues throughout the narration. And I absolutely adored her characterization of Jess ♥

The text I used was be_themoon’s Far From His Home; I added some punctuation and a couple of words (noted in gold). The title from “maggie and milly and molly and may” by E. E. Cummings. Each part has an accompanying illustration.

This was the first time I stumbled upon erasure poetry and I was pretty much mind blown by it. Xenoamorist succeeded in making me speechless… I really loved the raw, bare emotions depicted in this piece, and how the sparse words contributed in creating a tangible and yet ethereal portrait of Castiel.

This was such a gorgeous insight into Dean’s feelings, it sure deserves a read!
